Vegan food in Lisbon
Orteá Vegan Collective
Lisbon is continually becoming ever more vegan
friendly with a great selection of eateries to choose from. Portugal was the
first country to make it illegal to not have a vegan menu choice. The
legislation was enacted in 2017, and it is now applicable to public facilities
such as schools, colleges, hospitals, and prisons (as everywhere else people
have the choice to go elsewhere to find a suitable meal).
Orteá Vegan Collective- BOTANIST is one of the best vegan restaurants in Lisbon, Portugal where vegan lovers have plethora of options available. The space that welcomes the Botanist is reminiscent of a greenhouse that invites you to sit, look and admire the beauty of the plants in the space and on the dishes. The restaurant was also designed to be a testing ground for vegan food and lifestyle. Fermented cashew cheeses are made, and a kombucha manufacturing laboratory is expanding. The Botanista crew is comprised of individuals whose training, ethics, and experience contribute to the venue's continuous evolution as a restaurant and platform for exchanging and developing ideas.
